Catching Up!

Hello Parents! Just a few things I want to catch up on: 1. Please use the link to sign up for an assessment time if you have not already. https://www.signupgenius.com/go/30e0945a9ac2ca7f58-assessment5 2. Starting today, your child will be coming home each Monday with a weekly multiplication game. In an effort to help our kiddos out with the memorization of these facts please try to play them as often as possible. Additionally, many of our kids are NOT passing their daily multiplication test. If they do not pass I return it with the incorrect answers circled, and a clean one of that level so they can practice it again for homework. If they do pass, they do not get it back, they only get a new one of the next level. As our math practices advance, it is imperative that they know these facts automatically. Field Trips

Hello Parents! Happy Friday! Just a reminder about our upcoming field trips. Thank you to those of you who have already paid the $30 so your child can participate. Please send a check or cash to class as soon as possible or use PayForIt online and send in the receipt. Your child is coming home today with a permission slip to go to the Butterfly Pavilion next Friday, November 8th. This field trip supports our science unit on life cycles. Please return this to school, signed, on Monday. We are looking for 5 chaperones. If you would like to participate please fill out the green half sheet and have your child return it to me ASAP. I will notify you by Wednesday at the latest if you were chosen to come. Thank you and please let me know if you have any questions! Jessica

Math Links

Hello Parents! Over the next week your child will be coming home with many algorithms to help with solving addition and subtraction problems. These methods are quite different from the ones that we learned in school, so I attached links to videos for each of them so you will be able to assist with homework as needed. The purpose of teaching them multiple methods is so they can choose the one they like best and use it in years to come.
